Campsite at Mile 755.28 to Crabtree Meadows Ranger Station

Only had about 12 miles to hike today, so had a relaxing day.

More incredible scenery. A bit of smoke haze in the air, apparently there is a fire to the south near Lake Isabella, and one north near Lee Vining. Neither is close, but the smoke travels long distances.

Had our first creek crossings that required wading. Many more to come in the Sierras.

Camped at Crabtree Meadows tonight in preparation for ascending Mount Whitney tomorrow.

The campground here has lots of hikers. Basically there are two days of PCT hikers camped here, those who got here today and will hike up Mount Whitney tomorrow, and those who got here yesterday and hiked up Whitney today.
