Warner Valley trailhead to Unpaved Road

Woke up and packed up and left the campground by 7:15am.

23.59 miles later we were in Old Station. Or at least one part of Old Station, the town is spread out along a few miles of highway 89.

The trail today was relatively flat, which led to decent hiking speed and the most miles that I've done in a day so far.

Much of the day was spent in a huge burnt area, much of the burn was inside Lassen Volcanic National Park. Had some good views of Lassen peak, there is still quite a bit of snow on the high slopes of the mountain.

  1. You are doing some consistent 20 mile hikes this past week! Hope the weather will be kind for the remainder of the trail.
