Arlington, WA to Large creek, wooden bridge

Mile 2504

Only four PCT miles in two days...

Mighty Mouse and I looked at the weather forecast and decided to get back up to the trail today. It looks like we have a couple good weather days before more precipitation is due.

The route we took off the PCT was steep going down, and today it was steep coming back up. 4000 feet of elevation gain in about 8 miles. And 3000 of that was in less than three miles.

Fortunately after getting back to the PCT, there was just a small climb before the trail pointed downhill.

Camping tonight near a stream, which is nice for the gurgling ambient sounds, but the ground here is quite wet from the recent rain, so I expect a pretty heavy dew.

Oh, and it is raining, or sleeting, and cold, even though we are camped at a bit under 4700 feet.
