Timberline Lodge to Paved Lolo Pass Road

Rainy day.

We set out from Timberline Lodge this morning and the rain started not
Long after our departure.

We were planning on hiking 17 miles without most of our gear and then meeting up with Tim to get our full packs and then putting in a few more miles.

Plans changed, we were wet and cold and weren't really looking forward to camping wet so we piled in the car and returned to the cabin for the night.

Dinner tonight was definitely not on the trail.

2021 Update:

We set out from Timberline Lodge this morning and the rain started not
Long after our departure.

We were planning on hiking 17 miles without most of our gear and then meeting up with Tim to get our full packs and then putting in a few more miles.

We got to cross a couple muddy streams on logs of varying steadiness, which was exciting.

Basically it rained all day, and so, plans changed, we were wet and cold and weren't really looking forward to camping wet so we piled in the car and returned to the cabin for the night.

  1. That would be a wonderful hike when the rhodies are in bloom.
