Campsite by Six Horse Spring Trail to Diamond View Lake

Diamond View Lake.

Took an alternate trail today, the Oregon Skyline Trail. It's a much older trail, dating from 1909 or so, although it has been moved around over the years. Parts of the PCT used to run along the Skyline Trail, and today we took the OST because it goes a bit more directly to one of our resupply stops.

Camping tonight next to Diamond View Lake, with views of Diamond Peak, which still has some snow on it.

Beautiful camp site. But near a lake means lots of condensation.

Our campsite is right next to the lake, so we're expecting quite a bit of condensation in the tents.

  1. Nice lakeside camping! I hope you are rid of the mosquitoes now. Lots of things named Diamond in that area, were there mines?
